Well lets break this down somewhat, what is “Skew”?
Well Skew is basically the rotational angle of the LNB, inside the LNB are two pins which correspond to a horizontal plane and a vertical plane in which a signal lies. The idea is the LNB can be adjusted to more accurately receive the signal from the satellite. The reason for adjusting the LNB Skew angle is that as you move around the world your horizon stays the same as you perceive it as flat however in fact the horizon the LNB angle was set to before moving is actually further around the world than yours. The satellite signal from space is fixed so you have to change your angle to it in order to line up and get a better quality signal.
